Men are simple. Women are complex. Agree or disagree?

Question

A male friend and I (I'm female) had a discussion about why men and women don't understand each other, and this is the conclusion we came to.

Mind you: we aren't valuing one characteristic over the other. Just observing.

Understanding behavioral and cognitive aspects of psychology really makes both males and females less confusing.

People are invariably pretty complex in terms of their defenses, behavioral tendencies and thought patterns, which are often due to biological and experiential factors... but understanding general patterns within certain types of people becomes less complex the more you study it.

I don't think there's much of a difference in the degree of general complexity of men vs. women.

The women who say that have experienced simple men. I've experienced simple men AND women. They are likely referring to the idea that men can be manipulated with sex. They forget that many women, such as themselves, can be also. It just isn't talked about much. Many women can also be persuaded by men when said men have money, which is pretty darn simple if you ask me. Simply put: they forget how simple they too can be. It's simply a popular stereotype about men. And yes, men sometimes don't express how complex they can be. That is something that really happens. If these women calling men simple took the time to get to know these men, they'd find that the majority are NOT simple.

I'm inclined to agree, but I must add that some males have so many hang-ups, and divorce garbage, they are carrying around with them, they can be as complex as any female! But having said that, the average guy is kind of simple. Have a good day.

Totally disagree. I know some of the simplest women and complex men. I think this may be right for say, majority, possibly,,, but definitely not for the whole.

I have to disagree... entirely! Everyone is different. Some women are more hormonal than others, same with men. There is no comparison. I've met some pretty complicated men and some extremely down to earth, carefree women. Rethink your observations I guess.

i think they're both complex. men can't be simple. they have minds, too, that make them complex. men are different than women, that's why they don't understand each other. men looked like they're taking it easy and looking laid-back, that's why they look simple to the eyes, but they're really complex. so i disagree.

Men are way more complex than woman. I think.
Woman have to be so many different things to be the perfect woman... loving and nice but not too nice but not too mean but not too hard but not too pushovery but not aggressive but submissive and dominant and ... my goshhhh... guys are never pleased they get bored with everything it seems... you know?
men just have to be the man of the house and girls will like them.. not so simple but at least less complex than what women have to be

I think it all depends on the individual. Most women tend to be intellectual and most men tend to be sight oriented. Some men have issues as well as some women. It all depends on the person. May God Bless U.

DISAGREE...only a few women are complex and for the men to..so it depends on the people to be complex or other........
