The best thing is to not even be in that situation. Unless you like to drink and you take turns driving, I think its best to always meet your friends wherever you decide to go. That way you can always decide if you want to stay or leave.

i become purposely listless and unattentive then i look as bored as possible and sigh saying, "yeah, we can go whenever you're ready. i'm done here".

or i start talking about all the stuff i have to do the next day and how i'm going to barely be able to get up because it's getting late at the party or wherever i'm at.

it normally works or i'll just flat out say, "can you drop me off" if she's not taking the hints
