color-struck means you only like people of one skin color.

Color struck people are so one-dimensional. It is sad for them and even sadder for the rest of us.

I married a man of American Indian decent, (1/4 blood) I am white and we adopted a 1/2 white...1/2 black baby boy 20 years ago...no, I'm not color struck and I have never understood it...never

honestly i think its a personal thing having the same effect as someone liking heavier or skinnier people.
Me personally I'm physically attracted to darker skin, light skin makes me queasy. Meaning my first instinct when i see a naked dark skinned man is to be turned on, and it takes a little more work for me to be attracted to light skin.
but I'm not so shallow that i can't be attracted to a light skinned person after getting to know them. I don't limit myself on purpose, its just the way I am wired.
Loving someone is different to me than initial attraction and my heart knows no skin color.

I've never understood this. When my husband and I were just first dating, a friend asked me what color he was. I said, "Well, he's kinda darker than me, maybe about 3 shades darker..." She stared at me, then said, "I mean what race is he?" "Oh. He's white," I said. It just struck me as such an odd question. Who cares what color someone is? Except for my bigoted grandma who said she'd disown any grandkid who dated a black man...

Color is only skin deep. Whats under the surface is important. I have been married to a white woman and now a filipina. both ladies have good points.

Everyone should be nice to everyone else, but that won't happen because our world is filled with so much hate. Every color, gender, sexual preference,religion, hates other people . It doesnt matter who, its just hate.

it will never end. unless there was some global disaster where everyone woke up gray with identical features, i doubt color struckness will ever dissapear fully. that makes me sad :-(

They absolutely puzzle me. Im utterly baffled by some. Living in asia, ive encountered some pretty closed ppl. Ppl that categorically dont even recognise outsiders- its amazing really.
