Right now, I'm paying 2.47 for E-85.
You hit the nail on the head--*WILLING* to pay.
The oil companies had an enormous profit last year b/c we were willing to pay the $3 and higher that they were charging and this summer it's supposed to top $4? I, for one, am NOT being desensitized to gas prices. Some ppl are barely scraping by and have no other choice but to drive older cars that are gas guzzlers to their low paying jobs b/c they can't afford something more economical. And who is suffering? The elderly, children, and disabled. The poor keep getting poorer and the rich, richer and we are letting them. Time for consumers to pull their cephalic portion out of their anal regions and start raising holy hell. I keep getting emails saying that on a certain date there will be a gas out. This does not make any sense, it just means you don't buy gas on that one day, but if you are still using the same amount of gas on a daily basis, how does this hurt the oil companies? It doesn't. If the bus ran on my side of town, I'd take it even thought I know that the transit system is no way profitable for the city.

additional comments: I am paying about 3.00 right now but driving my vehcle a LOT less than I was - if it gets to 3.50- I will not pay that much. I can pretty much walk to places to get necessities and am willing to do that. I would use my vehicle for medical emergencies. I think it is highly ridiculous to pay even 2.50 or 2.00 a gallon for gasoline. I am convinced that this is not necessary and even with inflation, we are being deceived and gouged when asked to pay 2.00 a gallon for gas.

5.50

additional comments:
I'll pay anything, I need to drive, I just won't drive as much.
Especially since I have a V8 gas guzzler from the 60's.
I might just buy a bike though. But I would still buy gas if I needed gas.

I am male...41...I own a business where I use a truck to drive around alot..

I will pay whatever it is...and i have to use super for V6 so..

But to pick one...I think 3 bucks a gallon is high enough.

Enough so I dont have to raise my prices and I can still get a$$raped by big oil!

I am a 29 year-young female and although I do not want to pay more than 2.20 for gas I have no choice but to pay the higher prices sad yet true. :(

Female, 22, and this is a bit pointless because if you want to drive you have to pay whatever they're charging. Many people don't have the choice of driving or not because they live where there is no public transportation.

I am in a situation where I can not use a bus/bike/train/car pool for work. Therefor, I would have no choice but to pay any price until it gets to a point where getting to work costs more than I could earn working.
