On Friday I received a dozen pink roses from my one and only daughter. On Saturday I went to dinner with my daughter as her other treat and she also gave to me a gift bag of Godiva Chocolates .On Sunday my husband, daughter and good friend went to breakfast as my husbands treat. My son and his wife came over to visit with me and brought me many assorted gifts. Also received many gifts from my husband and he took me out to dinner too. I am blessed with a wonderful family. A sad note to this happy weekend -- my oldest son never even thought of me on Mother`s Day. He told me I am useless to him. Well, I guess it is his loss.

All of you should count your blessings in having such wonderful husbands and kids! My husband slept until 2:00 p.m and when he got up he didn't even tell me Happy Mother's Day and my son sent me a Text message on my phone wishing me a happy one! My daughter and grandaughter sent me two very nice cards and some pictures of themselves together which was very nice to get!!

That sounds lovely! and I agree, his loss.
I was woken up with a cup of cold milky tea and a biscuit that I was told to share with my 5 year old son. He then gave me some lovely slippers, a home made card, a 'memory box' that he had decorated that we are to keep all our memories in and an envelope filled with vouchers of things he will do ie tidy his room, make his bed, go wfor a walk with me etc.
Then we went out for breakfast with my Mum (and all the rest of my family) then my son and partner made me a Lamb Roast dinner with all the trimmings!
Well and truly spoilt!

My kids are too young to do anything (1 year old twins). My husband emailed me from Iraq (he's a soldier), said he sent me a bath and body works gift set in the mail and I should expect it soon. My mom and me exchanged cards.

I WAS WOKEN UP AT 8:30 AM, TO HEAR MY BOYFRIEND (OF 4 YEARS) TAPPING ME AND TELLING ME THAT OUR SCREAMING 20 MONTH OLD IS "CALLING YOU". OF COURSE HE REFUSED TO GET UP. I SPENT MY MORNING PLAYING WITH MY SON, THEN I TALKED TO MY MOM FOR A WHILE. I PUT THE BABY DOWN FOR A NAP AROUND 10:30- HE WAS SO CRABBY!!!! I WENT TO BATH & BODY WORKS AND BOUGHT THE GIFTS FOR MY MOM AND MY BOYFRIENDS' MOTHER. I WENT HOME TO FIND BOTH BOYS STILL IN BED!! OKAY FOR THE BABY BUT I WANTED TO WALK BY AND KICK THE OLDEST BABY IN THE HOUSE. I GOT THE BABY UP AND GOT HIS LUNCH. THEN I MADE LUNCH FOR THE OTHER. I PROCEEDED TO PLAY WITH THE LITTLE ONE WHILE MY BOYFRIEND SLEPT. I TOOK OUT SOME BEEF FOR SPAGHETTI AND HINTED AT A NICE DINNER. HE FINALLY GOT UP AT 2:45, AFTER HE HAD FINISHED HIS SOUP IN BED I HAD MADE HIM. THEN HE CALLED HIS MOTHER WHILE I GOT MYSELF AND THE BABY DRESSED TO GO TO MY GRANDMOTHERS. I GOT HOME AT 7:30 TO FIND SOMEONE STILL LAYING IN BED!!! HE WAS HUNGRY AND SAID THAT HE THOUGHT I WOULD BRING HIM HOME A PLATE OF FOOD!! THEN HE WANTED ME TO MAKE SPAGHETTI FOR HIM. WHICH OF COURSE I DID. THEN HE WANTED ME TO GO TO THE GROCERY STORE INSTEAD OF GET-GO FOR MILK BECAUSE HE WANTED COCO- PUFFS FOR BREAKFAST TODAY!!! I WENT TO SLEEP AFTER 12 a.m., HAVING NEVER HEARD A HAPPY MOTHERS DAY FROM HIM OR THROUGH HIM FROM MY SON!! I ASKED WHY AND TOLD HIM THAT HE REALLY HURT MY FEELINGS AND HE TOLD ME THAT I AM NOT HIS MOTHER, SO WHY WOULD HE!!!!!!!! I JUST STARTED BAWLING! I HAVE BEEN THE SOLE FINANCIAL SUPPORT FOR THIS FAMINLY ALL THE WHILE GETTING UP FOR ALL THOSE FEEDINGS LONG AGO. I STILL AM THE SOLE FINANCIAL SUPPORT AS WELL AS WEEKEND COOK, SERVANT, JUNGLE GYM, AND TAXI, WHILE HE ACTS LIKE THAT IS HIS TIME OFF FROM STAYING HOME WITH THE BABY ALL WEEK. AGGGGGGGGGGGGGGHHHHHHHHHHH!!! I JUST WANT TO SCREAM. I HOPE THIS DOESN'T MAKE ME A BAD PERSON FOR WANTING A LITTLE APPRECIATION, BUT COME ON, 1 DAY A YEAR???
