Semii-serious answer:
1) The de-evolution process and the Scottish National Party (SNP) is already ahead of you. Scotland most probably will declare her independence as a republic in 2010. Meanwhile, the aristocracy and the British Crown aren't particularly popular if I can judge by the on-line comments made to Edinburgh's newspaper, "The Scotsman". The Scots are much more likely to celebrate the common man or woman and his or her contributions to society, or to paraphrase Robert Burns, "a man's a man--and a woman's a woman--for all that."
2) Most Scots live in the Central Lowlands, a relatively small area. With only about 5 million Scots presently living in Scotland, most probably everyone of Scots' descent either there or abroad is probably related to Robert the Bruce, one of the Stewarts (or Stuarts), or for that matter, Lady Macbeth if a family can trace its line back far enough. [At least, I can trace my family on both my father and mother's side back to the Stewarts and ultimately to Robert the Bruce, so I presume it isn't that unusual.]
3) Actually, there already is a claimant for the Jacobite crown since a gentleman in Vienna, Francis II, is already heir to both the Holy Roman Empire and the Scottish crown as a descendant of James VII of Scotland and II of England.
4) With the Stuart track record, I'd rethink my bid for the Scottish throne (more rulers died in battle or minus a head than died of old age).
