a. Solve this equation for v in terms of w.
2v + 7 = w - 3

2v=w-10
v= w/2 - 5

b. Solve this equation for s in terms of r.
4r + 5s + 2 = 8r - s + 7

6s=4r+5
s=(4r+5)/6

c. Solve this equation for y in terms of x.
5y - 2x + 1 = 3(y + x) - (x - 5)

5y-2x+1 = 3y+3x - x +5
2y=4x+4
2=2x+2

d. Solve the equation from question 2b for r in terms of s.

4r + 5s + 2 = 8r - s + 7
4r=6s-5
r=(6s-5)/4

hope it helps!

a
2v = w - 10
v = (1/2).w - 5

b
6s = 4r + 5
s = (2/3).r + 5 / 6

c
5y - 2x + 1 = 3y + 3x - x + 5
2y = 4x + 4
y = 2x + 2

d
6s = 4r + 5
4r = 5 - 6s
r = 5 / 4 - (3/2).s

2v = w-10
v = (w/2) -5

4r-8r = -s + 7 -2 -5s
-4r = -6s + 5
r = (3s/2) - (5/4)

5y -3y = 2x -1 +3x -x + 5
2y = 4x +4
y = 2x + 2

-4r = -6s + 5
s = (2r/3) + (5/6)
