There is a company called Year One they are in Georgia. They have lots of old parts and things. In addition, there is a car show on Speed-TV cable station. Name of the show escapes me but the host has a long handle bar musstache. He does segments on rebuilds. Very interesting and informative.
Hope this is helpful.
The host's name is Dennis Gague, spelling. Maybe if you do a search on speed tv may get some information on the show and how to get your parts.

General Motors can address how many were made and maybe direct you to a web site or two for parts.

Try www.amesperformanceparts.com Also for your second question, go to www.firebirdtransamparts.com. I don't know if it will help you, but a lot of my questions were answered there.
