ok my mom's truck is making a hissing noise when it is running and we think it's a vacuum leak does anyone know where i can get a vacuum diagram online for a '97 ford f-150?

find the pcv and the hose that goes to it

Stick a piece of rubber fuel line, about three feet long, in your ear and use the other end to isolate the general area that the hissing is loudest. Then look in that area for the leak either by eyeball or spraying carb cleaner.

if thats what it is,just go to the junk yard and get 1,its probably not too much,but to make sure,spray some starting fluid around it to see if it is leaking.

You don't need one. Check every hose you can see. Listen closely. Then use intake cleaner and spray around the intake manifold gaskets. You'll find it.

should be on the hood or radiator cover
