I have a winchester model 97 ser. no. E828037 has 30in. full choke stainless steel barrel with all winchester patent. nos. and proof marks. in good condt. can anybody tell me about this gun. yr. mfg. possible value, ive never seen another with a stainless barrel. i would app. any info.

Your 97 was probably mfg in late 60s or early 70s.Pretty common gun except for the stainless barrel.Somebody added an after market barrel.Worth about 100.00 to 150.00.Might even bring 200.00 with stainless barrel.
