I learned to drive on the section lines in Oklahoma. I was 10 and my dad taught me. All we had was a stick shift, so I never knew anything else until I drove an automatic many years later.

I guess I kinda learned myself. I grew up on a working farm and first was tractors and farm equipment. Then motorcycles... we used them to round up the cattle. The first car I ever drove, I was around 9 I guess, and for nearly 25 years after that.. were all standard shift, ranging from 3 speed to 5 on the floor. It wasn't till about 12 years ago that I figured I outgrew the stick.... Auto tranny is nice.

It isn't that a woman can't teach a man. It's just that some men are still boys and have short attention spans. You just have to learn how to get his attention. Tell him, "Shut up, listen and do as I say or you're sleeping on the couch for a month". Now you will definitely have his attention and can direct him with what to do.
