Stupid thing keeps spinning around?
Use a board or dead blow mallet to get the tapered end to seat in the sleeve to hold it from turning freely.

You tighten the nut!
Tie rod installation should only be done by someone who has a wheel alignment machine. It needs to be specifically aligned or so good bye to you're tires

do you mean how to tighten a new tie rod?if thats what you are refering to,then most front wheel drives has a jam nut,you tighten up against the tie rod.

40 Lbs torque, then back off 1/4 turn. Check for slight movement. A little is good. Apply grease under pressure.

You can't do it yourself. It needs to be aligned at a shop, or you'll wear your tires out really fast.
