Having lived in what is considered the "south" most of my life
I can assure you that the Sun Does Rise here -- almost every single day !!
I also have it on good authority -- that people who live considerably farther south than me -- say that the Sun rises there almost every day too !!
So, in that respect -- the answer to your question would be True !!!
But, in the context of the world view and the generally excepted notion that the traditional "rise" and "set" of the Sun has to do with the earth's rotation and orbit --- under THESE concepts--- the Sun always rises in the East -- so the answer here would be False !!
So, to be perfectly unclear here
Yes and No !!!!!!
(I am also--extremely concerned that Flaltajr's south will never rise again (see previous post ^^^)--- THIS must be extremely depressing to say the very least !!! )

False. Because of the direction of the spin of the planet the sun appears to rise in the East. Which is why New York sees the sun rise 3 hours before Los Angeles.

The sun rises everywhere on earth, but not everyday. The poles are in darkness for many days each year during thier winter seasons.
Technically sun rises in the east, but during the course of a year the position of the sun relative to a set marker changes-moving further north or south, depending on the time of year.

The sun does not, as so popularly believed, only rise in the east and the west. During the course of the year, the sun moves on its plane slightly north, then later slightly south, then at the end of the year it is dead center again. So, technically, it rises in the southeast for some of the year.

The sun rises in the east, but the earth has slight tip southward, so it may seem to be an east by southeast direction.During the winter, it is more pronounced because the tilt is more noticable. Most of this is more prominent the further your fron the center of the globe. So, in Florida, where I live, it is almost straight east, however, I have noticed a southern tilt in the north.
