Put a "chip" in the computer. Some of your sensors have a min and a max setting,go with the max. Get a set of colder plugs for it and a colder thermostat(160 deg) Now for a one time run under the hood is the ECM fuse, unplug it for about 15 sec,OK/ Then unplug the O2 sensor from the exhaust manifold and wrap it around something so the wire doesn't get burned (brake lines coming from the master cylinder) This is goood for one run a the computer in this car is looking for fuel economy and you have cleared that out by unplugging it . With the O2 sensor unplugged and not realizing this makes the engine run richer and the cars were starving for gas. This is what I did and could fry the tires in all 3 gears(except into OD) I didn't have a " chip"but worked in final repair on these models of Camaros & Firebirds and along with another fellow who trained me in ALDL repair we came upon this with a little tinkering

I would suggest two relatively cheap easy ways to gain power, improve the intake and exhaust. Get a flowmaster exhaust and cold air intake.

Ram air add on for that car, and a 3 inch exhaust will help.
