I used Newegg and built a new personal computer for under 300.00 with out a monitor.

Ebay is good... Office Depot usually has an E-machine, as does Wal-Mart. Those are a few hundred dollars. Tell your local compUSA (or whatever they're called in your region) you're looking for inexpensive, they may have a refurbished unit they can get rid of for cheap.

Ebay is a favorite of mine. Your local computer store may have a good one for you depending on your needs. I'll link to the one I just bought below (It's pretty good bang for the buck)

Yeah, she's right. Dell is most probably one of the cheapest already-built computer, but you might want to check out www.newegg.com, if your intrested in building up you own system, which might come even cheaper, depending on what's you're getting in there!

dell is a rip off
if you want best value, build your own
if you want the cheapest by all means get the dell (but you wont get much value for your money)
you can always ebay it too or check out some local ads for used comps

I would recommend, Dell.com. You can get a laptop, new for under 600. A Desk top for under 400. Best deal I think.

As someone stated earlier go to TigerDirect.com they have refurbished PC's you can get something extremely cheap that will be in normal working condition etc.

pawn shops, craiglist, local newspaper, ebay . the thing with used , is you dont really know what your getting , or even if it works at all .. personally i collect ,and build computers from older computer parts i have collected.

if you would like a better computer than DELL, you should build ur own. it is pretty simple but dell is probably the cheapest that is alrady built
