My sister came over today to take me to the store with her to get some things to cook for dinner for our mother and when she came in she saw how messy my house was. I have had a knee injury for the past two weeks and although my house was clean (enough) last night when I went to bed, by the time she got there at 11am today it was tore upside down again. My mother in law called and during the 1/2 hour conversation I had with them, the kids poured cereal all over the floor ( had no idea they were doing this) and my daughter had markers and paper laid out everywhere since she was drawing me a picture for mothers day and many other things were a mess. I am on crutches and it makes it hard to carry things to the sink, put clothes away, etc. Since I'm the only one living here that knows how to do these things it was a disaster. Well, my wonderful sister decided while I was taking a shower to vaccuum, sweep, do my dishes, start a load of laundry, took out my garbage, and even polished my furniture. I was so extatic when I got out. She knows that I am typically a very clean person and can't stand a messy house and I think that is why she did it but for whatever reason she did it, I'm greatly appreciative! That was the sweetest thing someone did for me today... I love my family...

The nicest thing was my son telling me that any success he has as a single parent is because he learned to be a parent from me. WOW!
The second nicest thing was picking my dog up at a friends after having to leave her for 5 days. She (the dog) gave me a kiss and she never gives kisses.

To you also if it applies! My daughter came over with a box of chocolate & told me she's making me a scupture which is not yet complete. She lives in the next town & we see each other once a week. Also, my future son-in-law sent me a mother's day greeting & some jokes.
