There are several inventions that the Chinese developed.
1. The compass - about 221 - 206 BC
2. Gunpowder - perfected in the 8th century
3. Kites - 4th or 5th Century BC
4. A siesmascope (seismagraph) - Chang Heng 132 AD
5. Paper Money - 10th century
6. Wheelbarrow - 1st century BC
7. Horse Collar - 3rd centruy BC
8. Plow - 3rd century BC brought to Europe 17th century
9. Cast Iron - 4th century BC
10. The Helicoptor Rotor - 4th Century
11. Matches - 577
There are several more including multi-stage rockets, chopsticks, theyre even awarded the invention of paper even though papyrus cam first and it was made from a plant but it isnt made in the same way we make paper today. Chinese were the first to make paper by layering fragments together. There are several areas that they were technologically superior in the past but as for recent inventions the numbers drastically decline.
