I am a MB counselor, and I really have a problem with the various 'keep an animal short term' requirements if you do not plan on keeping the animal or have a plan for it afterwards.
Anyway, some good websites for you will be:
http://www.tortoisetrust.org
http://www.austinsturtlepage.com
http://www.boxturtlesite.info
Habitat-
- bigger the better. BIG plastic storage tubs are great!
- temp in the 70's with a low and a warm end
- humidity in the 70-80's
- damp sphagnum moss (not peat) makes a good substrate that helps with the humidity
- if the room temps are in the 70's, then a small light can offer lighting and keep one end warmer. Don't apply too much light!
- UVB light is great if you can provide it!
- make sure they always have access to water in a small untippable bowl
Diet-
- about 1/3rd 'bugs'- insects, worms, snails, arthropods, etc.
- about 1/3rd meat- soaked weight-maintenace cat chow, sardines with bones, cooked chicken, etc.
- about 1/3rd dark leafy greens, berries, mushrooms, shredded carrot, etc.
- every meal does not have to have all three categories, but should have at least 1 item from two of them
- serving size, about the size of the head
- feed daily when young, every 2, then 3 days as it gets older
- add a dash of calcium supplement 1 or 2 times a week
- add a small dash of multivitamin powder 2x a week

You are only keeping it for 30days? Is it like a group pet thing or something?
anyway
Lots of fresh veggies, nothing with the word "lettuce" in it, those are too high in water, and no vitamins, if you get it a pre prepared food from the pet store dont read the pretty package read whats in it. If the first ingredient is any type of corn or wheat... dont buy it.
make sure they have enough UVB ray(from reptile light bulbs) they need it to absord vitamins

Providing it's: Warm sufficient- There is sufficient to consume- There is sufficient to drink- Chemicals/insecticides aren't a well being hindrance/risk- Fertilizers aren't a well being hindrance/risk- then the reply is sure. I desire this has been handy.

We feed ours box turtle food (which resembles fruity pebbles) as its daily meal, and meal worms as a treat.
