He can promote education on the benefits and use of birth control. He can promote morals and integrity. Stopping it will be much harder to do since most women believe in Pro Choice. The thought of going back to the back ally abortion is too horrible to even consider. Until a better solution is brought forward, education and prevention is the only way.

What school would permit a teacher to give an assignment that makes students write a letter to a governor specifically stating that they are against abortion. People will not stand for prayer in the military, how loud would the outcry be for a class full of students having to basically petition the governor, as an assignment whether they agree or not, to stop abortion?

Fishy.

Never the less, to stop abortion, you would have to stop sex. Abortion is due to unwanted pregnancy be that from unwed teenagers, to married spouses that did not expect a child, to victims of rape. Everyone has what they consider a "legitimate" reason for getting an abortion. They will always fall back on their "freedoms." No one man can stop abortion, he can choose to "make a statement" but being that he is a governor whom most likely has further political ambitions, I would not hold my breath. Therefore, I would say that you should focus on preventing later term abortions and get your small victories where you may. Sort of winning the battle if not the war.

The best thing is to turn Roe vs Wade. Everyone thinks this would ban abortion, but that is wrong. It would just allow each state to make their own laws on this issue as it was before Roe.
