A woman can only get pregnant if she is ovulating. If this 56 year old woman has had menopause, and has stopped having periods, there's no way she could get pregnant.

It all depends. I have heard of older women getting pregnant, but its not very common. Even though you don' think it could happen, you should always wear protection, because the one time you don't think it would happen, it could.

my guess would be nope cause at 56 chances are almost 100 % she has gone through menopause but you never know what can happen

if shes' been through menopause or had her tubes tied, i'd say no. However, even menopause is not a sure thing.
