Even though I am an adult, I still try not to curse in front of my parents out of respect for the fact that they both rarely curse themselves. I grew up in a home where you were not allowed to say even "fart", "butt", "ain't", or "shut up". Now that I am a parent, I understand why.

When I was 8 or 9, I let something "slip" in front of my mother and it wasn't even that bad....I got my mouth washed out with soap....this was 40+ yrs ago and I never cursed in front of my mother again (or my Dad)

Since they're dead......every chance I get. I try not to curse in front of kids, though.

I've only cursed around my father, but I don't remember cursing around my mother or my stepfather.

My Mum, Dad and Uncles are all fine with me swearing while in their presence, it's just my Grandparents that find it disrespectful... "It doesn't make you a man when you swear" yet you hear loads of profanity from my Pop!

Yes, I am 24.. I didn't when I was younger though. I try to be courteous and keep the F bombs to a minimum though.

noooo..never..although i have learnt the most interesting things coming out of my fathers mouth.i still wouldnt , couldnt in front of him or my mother.yes im a grown up.with my own family.still wouldnt
