I have a Compaq Presario and it turns on perfectly fine but if I go to a site for example to play games or something it will shut down completely. It will only turn back on if i unplug it from the outlet and then turn it back on. Does anyone know what I should do?

i think its overheating, every time you play game it uses too much of the processor causing it to overheat and the motherbaord automaticaly shutdown to prevent damage to your computer

make sure all your fans are working

I'd check in Administrative Tools, Event Viewer. Select 'System' and/or 'Application' on the left side of the window and on the right sort the columns by time. Look for errors near the time of the shutdown, this may provide you with some more information regarding the programs or hardware that is causing the problem. Then Ask again about the error you receive.

there are several reasons this could happen,

over heating
low memory,
low disk space.
and when it shuts down it is not a full shut down..
when the computer turns off it is not shutting down as it should, there is power still going to the motherboard

so the best place to ask is the manufactures web support site they will sort out your problems

Check your power settings.

Open Control Panel, click on

Power Options, click on Power schemes.

Make sure that hard drive is set to "never" hibernate

It's probably overheating and needs a new power supply.
