My poll on Liberals and Conservatives is right?

why do you think that Libs cant even stand up for themselfs on Yahoo? My question was are you a Liberal or Conservative? By far Concervatives win. But why?

For some strange reason, Americans are afraid of Liberals. They fear the liberal ideology of unconditional compassion for all humankind. Many Americans believe that liberals tend to think on the brink of communism. Many Americans don't understand that today's liberal just want to live in a world where all people are treated equally and respectfully. Liberals want all people to reach their full potential and liberals have unconditional compassion for the poor and disadvantaged. This is why today's liberal are always fighting for woman's rights, gay rights, affirmative action and the relief of the poor. I am an American liberal, but I support the progressives because during FDR's administration and even during the Civil Rights Movement the progressives have won the hearts and minds of the American people. In fact most of our modern politicians on the left tend to think with progressive values, and after what America has experienced over the last 6 years, America is in need of a progressive change. The right-wing reactionaries have already had their day in the sun. It is time for America to swing to the progressive left.

There simply is too much confusion in this country as to exactly what a liberal and a conservative is. Moral convictions based on spiritual belief does not make a person politically liberal nor conservative.
The political beliefs of nearly all Americans places them within the definition of classic American liberalism. In the global sense American liberalism is unique. Neo-liberalism is an entirely different philosophy with its roots in Europe.
The sense of right or wrong, in regards to philosophy, is a debate planted in our society by the political parties. Since America is a representative republic, it serves politicians well to keep the electorate arguing among themselves over whose team is the winning team.
It is foolish to try and present your personal choice of political candidates as the one who are right or wrong. We are all Americans. By that definition, we all side for liberty and freedom.

I honestly think it's because conservatives tend to be more involved in politics and are more likely to be on here discussing it. Liberals on the other hand would be on YA looking at different categories. Many liberals I talk to don't really have a reason for being that way or even know what the party stands for. Yes this is a generalization, I know.

Liberals just make stupid questions or post stupid answers that contain nothing except conspiracies and name-calling. Conservatives state facts. I even posted a question "What do Liberals think will happen to Iraq if we leave?" and not one Liberal answered properly. All they did was talk about corruption and corporate conspiracies, which has nothing to do with the decision of whether to stay in or leave Iraq.

Because there are far less real liberals. Theres maybe 10% of the population as radical, vehement liberals, and then 40% who vote democrat because someone said "hey go vote democrat". Most republican conservatives are far more involved on average with their political beliefs. Then again, this is just from my personal experience, others may have different observations.

Conservative. Used to lean liberal, yet can not cope with to pay for it. Our government is taxing the midsection class to death. i choose to grant for my relatives not definitely everyone who decides they don't choose to artwork.

Because being a conservative is something to be proud of which I am. I am in fact a conservative republican and proud of it. I'd be ashamed if I was a liberal.

Maybe liberals are not reading this websight or maybe there are actually more conservatives than you thought. That happens alot because the media and most celebs are liberal which leads people to make the false assumption about how many of them there really are.

Perhaps because they do not fear standing up for what they believe in, having ideals and standing behind them, or not afraid to do what is right for all Americans.
