The unit is probably not a "section 8 unit", section 8 is a rent subsidy that goes to you the landlord. Unless your village denies you the ability to rent to a low-income person, you should be okay. The only exception is if there is a high concentration of units receiving a sect.8 rent subsidy in your immediate area, the issuing authority (city/county/area housing authority/dept.) may decide not to certify the unit and then your property would not be qualified to participate in the program.
