if you are looking for 'torrent' in regards to computers, then:
a 'Torrent' is a small file that is used by torrent programs to find and download the same file(s) from many other people simultaneously.
For example, I have a program that I want people to get. The old way would be to have everyone connect to my computer or website and get it directly from there. Torrents work that if there are lots of people who want my file, they both download it from me and send what parts of the file they have to someone else at the same time. In this way, it saves my computer and website a lot of trouble because the people who get it help re-distribute it.
This is all pretty much done and operated behind the scenes on the computer though.
All you have to do is get a torrent downloading program such as azures or bitcomet, go to a website such as torrentspy.com or isohunt.com to get a torrent, and then open the torrent file with the program you just got.
thats the simplest way to do it.
