How do I lock certain text in Microsoft Word?

I have created a terms and conditions page in Microsoft word and I need to lock certain text so I will not mess with it when I am typing names on the page.

Not sure what you mean.
I'm guessing that you might have an underscore line where a name would be put in? and typing in the name will move the the line?
Use the line tool and not the underscore to make the line. You can type over the line if the line is formatted (format autoshape/layout/in front of text.)
Or put your text into text box areas instead of the open layout.
