I wish I had one. I was stripped of mine when my acct. was suspended last time, and I have never gotten it back! boo hoo.

I think. What does that mean? What does someone have to do to achieve the rank of top contributor. Then I forget all about it 2 seconds later.

They make me feel better about myself and worse about myself. Better because I'm not constantly on Y!A, so I guess I have more of a life (not really, LOL). Worse because I really want to contribute, but I don't think people appreciate my answers and I feel like a failure because I don't always answer the best answer that I can. Wow, I really don't have a life. Put your finger down please, I already feel bad enough.
I like Fire Flyer's answer. I guess you're right, we non-top-contributors are probably on here more than you guys are. I feel like such a looser now LOL.

excuse me..
it's always a misconception that if you have the "orange badge" you always have enough time to be on here...well, not at all ~ if you look at my profile i've been here since oct2006 and i only have 7000++ worth of points compared to new ones who have already surpassed my points like a million miles away..
it's the percentage of our BA's that make us top contributors....not because we spend 24hrs here clicking our keyboards and convict us that we are losers or we don't have a life!
honestly, i don't want this but i've had it since time in memorial so, i think and like what my friends here say - a top contributor deserves hir/her badge....but of course, we are really addicted to this site...who doesn't it's so much fun!

Since Top Contributor is determined by the PERCENTAGE of "Best Answers"... not the sheer number.............
I'd say they actully take time to think of a coherent and helpful answer, and are thusly rewarded... and I'd take their "answer more seriously that the comedians...or the vulgar or uninformed...
