Kilmer as Billy The Kid. The Masterson
brothers, Urilla played by earth angel
Annabeth Gish. Hackman playing a
relatively small part in this micro-encapsulated epic has to be be seen
as tipping the hat to Costner. I do
think Dana Delaney is a lot better looking than Tom Harmon.

You have got to be kidding me. Kurt Russell played a much better Wyatt Earp. Plus Tombstone was a much more entertaining movie.

Wyat Earp may have been more accurate, but it was also the MOST boring version of that movie.
AND WHY DID IT HAVE TO BE SO FREAKIN' LONG?!
I prefer Kurt Russel's and Val Kilmer's version. Fun to watch, and straight to the point.

Tombstone is a much better movie. Better cast (Kurt Russell, Val Kilmer, Powers Boothe and Sam Elliot) and better director.

The Wyatt Earp movie with Kevin Costner was probably the most accurate historically, as far as to what actually happened and what the characters were really like......

Kurt Russell was the better Earp, simply because he's the better actor of the two.

Hour of the Gun would be my choice--Garner and Robards were excellent.
don't get me wrong, i like the other versions mentioned also. but this one is my choice for the best.
