For those of you who do not have daughters, let's say hypothetically you did.

I would just explain to her date that if he does anything wrong, I go back to prison.

I know it is not safe for a woman almost everywhere even in her house. I think she can decide what should or should not do when she decision about going date with anybody. For example: dating should be on a public place, should she go if her dating is far away from other people? Should she go if she doesn't trust her dating partner? But if she has her guardian (both male and female), it is good.

If I had a daughter, I would make sure she had all the information about sex by the time she was old enough to date. She would even know about my own mistakes like being pregnant twice (once was through 3 forms of birth control - I only knew I was pregnant when I had a miscarriage). I would teach her strong morals and I'd teach her to have a great deal of respect for herself and her body. I would teach her that she could come to me about anything, that if it was something I didn't approve of, she could still come to me to talk about it reasonably. I would teach her not to give in to peer pressure. Anyone boy who would tell her "If you really love me..." has absolutely no respect for her and is only looking to use her. I would teach her how to protect herself. With all that I would arm my daughter with, I would completely trust her to go on a date alone.

I have 2 daughters-- one is 15, the other is 9.

It completely depends on where she is going and with whom. To a school dance or in a group of friends, I'm fine with her going alone.

Anything else we have to talk about...

As long as the parents trust their daughter i say it's ok.

when i was 14 my parents made me take my bro with me on my dates with my ex boyfriend. And that sucked but then they started to trust me and I was able to go out alone.

NOOOO!!!! She must be protective. Who knows what will happen, she could probably end up pregnant. I'll let her go out, but with a male chaperon.

depends on how old she is..i do not have any daughters and really glad that i dont but, i would hope that i raised her well enough so that she would know better and keep her virginity until she marries.
