Hey, why not? If you really want to be one then go for it! Don't bother if people bring you down, you have to remain strong and positive! Don't just dream, work on it, believe in yourself and start now!
I would so love to be a singer/ actress/ director/ scripwriter/ composer. And I believe that my dreams CAN come true!
For those who are not vocally melodious, go for vocal lessons or be a background vocalist (they earn quite a lot as well)!
Want to be an actress? Go for drama class and perform. You can start by playing small roles.
Same with dancing, keep practicing.
Expose your talents to the world! Good luck! All the best pal!

Work hard, persevere, practice, put your name out where people can see you, go for parts as extra's check Variety Magazine, check with your local chamber to see if any films or commericals are shooting close by, if you can get an agent, at least one of the above can be yours if you work hard enough, don't let anyone tear you down. do you have natural talent?
can you sing..dance and act?
can you write music?
play an instrument?
have you studied?
are you willing to work very very hard...?
there's a tremendous ammount of competition out there...
but..
if you believe in yourself..
and you should..
then yes..you do have a chance.
don't give up.
