I am looking to get a wireless router for around 70 bucks Canadian. I need one with at least 7 connections. Cheap yet high quality that can also be used with win 98 or higher and Macs. Is there one like this? I dont wanna buy off Ebay or anything like that.

They can all be used with any OS. When setting up check the section on dhcp, it may only be set for 3 or 4 addresses, increase this to 10 to allow for any additions later, save the setting and then use the various wireless utilities on your machines to find the router, set the encryption and connect.

The OS is not a problem when dealing with wireless connections. A decent router cost around 60-80 us dollars, but you can search on line for good deals. You can search in best buy or circuit city they have lots of routers and free shipping in most of them.

Routers could care less what OS is connected to it. so just find one you like and go for it.

Several makers offer 8 port routers (some with wifi) so get one with enough ports for all the machines you want to wire to it.
