how do you make the telephone line in the back of the computer work? My router suddenly stopped working.?

Any suggestions? The two ports in my router don't work. It's not lighting up in the front. I already called Vonage and they act as if they don't know what's going on.

well unless you have a dial up modem, there is nothing in your computer that will take a phone line, and be able to use , with out the dsl modem running , it needs to be replaced.. call vonage again ..

Hi. There are two types of jacks, one is a telephone jack for dial-up, the other is called RJ45 and is for broadband. It's this one that connects to your router. Look for a loose cable at either end.
