Some become rich, honored and the friends of royalty.
The pirate Francis Drake is a good example.

On the 28th of January 1596, 16 years after Drake was knighted, he began his last journey against the Spanish strongholds of the West Indies where after successfully accomplishing his objectives Drake passed away. As a farewell, Drake’s crew ignited two captured vessels, and while the cannon’s did solute him, the water of the Caribbean Sea had engulfed him.

It depended upon the era during which the pirate lived. For example, the Red Beards died in battle while Morgan died of TB in his older years. Most pirates, being plunderers, were politicians in their own way for their times. They were usually involved with, or funded by or mercenary to some political entity and, therefore, lived long and well ,or not, based upon how their "side" fared in the end.

I do not believe they lived long enough to find out. The pirate life was a tough one.

They layed around drinking booze while pretty young things did any and all ungodly things to them for their treasure. Arg! The life of a pirate be ruthless and and full of crabs and herpes! Arh arh arh!

Weel, Most died in battle. Some when the fun ran out, or when they had so much money they needed no more, moved and lived in town, or some remote place where no one would suspect who they were. Hope that helped

They died like everyone else. Lonely. Forgotten. Body mass shrinking. Drinking. Smoking. Remembering.
Why would it be any different?

as a pirate, they usually died before getting too old..

most of them died in battle. those that did survive, retired with the treasure they had and lived richly ever after.
