Never have.

Yeah, but it was an unusual circumstance. I stopped at a light one night. No one was around for miles. It was quiet. I waited. I waited. I waited. A minute later I began to think the light wasn't going to change, so I just went. It was kind of silly to just sit there. I don't feel guilty about it at all, but you really have to be careful. Under normal circumstances, it is VERY dangerous.

To AKA Frogbutt: If you were IN the intersection when it changed, in most states you were still legal, so long as you crossed the stop line first. :-)

yes,
especially early morning.
but since I got 3 points on my insurance I cut back considerably

It is so empowering- LOL

I say run 'em
don't be a slave to rules!
be free, just dont hit nothing!

I travel in the early mornings with the drunks because I am an insomniac.

It cracks me up when I see people sit at lights and there is no traffic anywhere!

Lights usually run on a 30 sec timer/ well they use to.
some even have a 60second timer
many have newer technology depends where you live.

I don't run them like bats out of hell. I usually will do my 1 second (almost dead stop) and then just roll on through. Of course if there is traffic I will abide like a good citizen. But at 3 am I make my own rules and you had better WATCH OUT!

PS/ I am a scofflaw so don't try this at home.

About a half hour ago as a matter of fact. I was fooling with the radio, looked up, it had turned green and I gunned it but it was a really BIG intersection and it was red before I got half way through. Oops!

yes...
I was speeding, and saw a police man behind me...
I ran a stop sign to get away, without a ticket...
BUT
A sheriff saw me run the stop sign.
=(
After the two law men discussed who would give me a ticket, (rocks, paper, scissors?) I got one for running the sign.
It doesn't pay to break the law... YOU pay, when you break the law.

Yes. I've done it at night when there is no one else on the road. I see no reason to sit there and wait for the light to change if there is no one else is around.

Not personally, but I sure have seen a lot of others do it. They are so busy chatting that they don't pay attention to their driving.
