Be very careful with destroying anything before you look at it, especially if if comes in snail mail. There are times when you might receive a card in the mail that needs only a phone call to activate. Open your junk mail, tear it in half, and make sure you have no credit cards or any other type of card that someone might be able to activate in your stead. SSN's and addresses are something you don't want anyone dipsy dumpster diving for.

I honestly have my direct mail immediately deleted. it is not nicely worth my time. If a corporation has to solicit my digital mail account with out me commencing up a corporation relationship, it is not a corporation which will furnish me a provider that i might have an interest in.

For the most part toss it. If I see something of interest ( i'm looking for a car right now, so a car ad would qaulify) I'll look at it.
