My bunny just all of a sudden started acting differently. Like, whenever i checked him, he used to lick my fingers (like kisses) but now he doesn't anymore. He also doesn't drink or eat as much as he used to. Also, he runs into the back of his cage whenever someone tries to pet him. Like, he'll let you pet him for like two seconds but then he'll run off. He used to be a very affectionate bunny who loved being held and cuddled so i don't know why he changed all of a sudden. his diet is the same as it has been-no new plants have been added to the menu. Any ideas why his behavior has changed?

no, there are no little kids in the house. His cage is outside in the perfect spot-not too much sun and not too much shade. The youngest in our family is me (14). Also, he is six years old and we didn't get him for easter this year.

Having to go through the whole Easter season thing was just too much for him...seeing little kids biting the heads off of chocolate bunnies...he had a little breakdown!

Yes, go to the vet.
He is older now and may have some physical changes going on, this will cause personality changes.
Is it possible there is and intruder in the area, say at night?
Hint: if the fecal pellets come out connected with hair like a string of pearls, he is ingesting to much fur.
Pineapple, has enzymes which will break up fur over time. The husk, fruit or juice via an eye dropper is good.
Hope bunny gets better.

In any case you should get him to the Vet. Bunnies are too fragile to try any home remedies. It could be anything from a cold to old age.
Especially if he is outside, he could have picked up a little draft or he might have gotten bit by a mosquito, which can be fatal for a bunny, depending on his tolerance levels.
If at all possible, take him inside until you can get him to a Vet. Transport him in a box not much bigger than himself, so he won't hurt himself on the way.
Make sure to call ahead and ensure they treat bunnies.
Good luck and I hope I could help!

Yes, take him to the vet. There could be something that is wrong with his health.

Remember, rabbits in the wild are usually prey to other animals. So when they are sick they will usually try to hide their sickness as to not get eaten.

Pet rabbits will do the same thing. Make sure he is eating, drinking, urinating and defecating. Rabbits can get hairballs in their digestive track or there could be other things wrong with him.

Your vet will be able to tell if there is something the matter.

Do you possibly have a small child who could be scarring it or another animal in the house. Because the poor little bunny sounds streesed. If you do have a child or another animal try secluding the bunny and see if his mood changes
