Physically looking for it, it'll have DVD RW,(or DVD R/RW), on it. To look for it in your computer software,(i.e., WindowsXP), Left click on Start, Left click on My Computer. At the top to the right,(next to Folders), you'll see a little icon that's square with different color's in it. That's your View icon, click the triangle shaped arrow beside it for a drop down menu, and click details. It's easier to read, and will tell you what disk drives you have. If you need more info about your Dvd burner try,
1.Start,(Left click)
2.My Computer,(Right click)
3.Scroll down with your eye's to Properties,(Left click)
4.In this window, left click Hardware
5.Then left click Device Manager
6.Wait a 'cupla seconds, there will be a 'tree'
7.In this 'tree' left click on the + sign next to Dvd-Cd rom drives, the one that has a W next to the Dvd is it. (for example DVDW) You can also right click the dvd drive in question, scroll down to properties, RIGHT click, and it'll tell you if the device is workin' properly

Hi They look just like a CD-ROM. Should be at the front of a desktop or tower, also can be on the sides if it's a laptop or notebook.
