Ramirez closed the balloting by making use of retiring after failing yet another drug try. Regardless if any of those different stars have been effectual earlier ingesting PEDs, the BBWA will take their movements under consideration and manage them like McGwire as time is going on. The HOF vote covers the finished occupation, not merely a pre-steroids resume.

I really dont like manny, hes one of those hyped up players who gets paid too much for doing very little. The only thing i can compliment him on is being in the lineup every night. besides being the best left feilder in baseball isnt saying much chris duncans gotta better chance of winning a gold glove this year

I have to answer your question with another question. Have you ever read Manny's career stats????? Your answer will lie there. A humorous sidenote: everyone seems to think Manny has a bat only...that everything else about him "sucks". He led all American League left fielders in assists and putouts in 2006.

Some guys have one great season, or maybe three or four.

Ramirez has nothing BUT great seasons. A 156 career adjOPS, 9.02 RC/27 -- yeesh.

I think his playing record will convince at least 75% of the voting writers when his time comes.

You kidding me?

125RBI average...

About 2-3 guys get that per year.

He'll get 500HRs, I dont know whats stopping him from being a HOF.

he may not be a "home run hitter" but he's more a "power hitter" he's got the better doubles and triples, RBIs too. I dont know if he's HOF worthy but hes good. GO RED SOX!

his bat only his bat. evrything else about him sucks. He also has put up some monster years. It also doesn't hurt to play in media crazy boston, they would hype up anybody on the boston red sox.
