I want to sell my hand-made jewelry to specialty shops. Where do I start?

I make my own jewelry and I'm hoping that I can sell it.Please be as specific as possible. For example, if I need to write a business letter, include a format. Also, some tips for interviews, if they need them. I'm 15 and want to be taken seriously. Thanks for any help you can give!

Visit the shops with a sample case.

Most will say Sale or return..

State the price you want to sell at plus 10% because most shops sell at that much commission,

Or Sell on EBay

Take photos of your stuff Lay ed on a Black Cloth or card

And one piece on one photo.

When your wellknown the Shops will ask you for the stuff.

You and about a million other people...... Where you start is to make hand made jewelry that's really world class and which is absolutely of higher quality than anything else available to the shop owner. Sterling jewelery, peace symbols and kitchy junk are being made by the ton in China, Taiwan and every Indian Village in the Southwest. Make something that will knock their socks off and then don't sell it cheap. If all you're doing is making the same stuff that everyone in your jewelery class is....then you'll be lucky to sell it wholesale to make back the cost of your materials. Remember.... that the shop owner expects to sell jewelery for twice what he paid for it... That's right....

There are a multitude of ways to get free trafic... But is it really free? You are trading time for traffic, which still costs. Think about... Building backlinks by blog commenting. Answering questions right here on Yahoo Answers Go to forums in your niche and make a useful comment; include a link back to your site Try out Adwords for some quick traffic (not free; but it shows which keywords to use) Tried and true; article marketing works to drive traffic to your site Learn a few other options as well...
