I got with my partner a year and a half ago he moved in.it was at the beginning of our relationship ..his lease was up on his apartment and he was having some financial difficulty. He said he would only stay a few months but our relationship soon blossemed and we fell in love.He got out of a 15 yr marriage. 4 yrs ago.he said he wanted to move in to see where our relationship would go ..well we get along great and couldnt be happier BUT he said he realizes now that he isnt ready for a relationship and he wants to get his "house" in order ..he comes up with many explanations ...i know for a fact he isnt cheating so thats not a reason ..but i feel we have came to far to seperate in to diffrent homes ..i am so confused ..he has baggage..exwife and kids whom he is with now as i am alone im confused where to go from here please help

I don't think I saw an answer here I completely agree with yet, so I'll try one myself.
After a long term relationship, moving in with someone right away is a bad move. You don't give yourself time to sort things through in your head and heart.
No matter who's idea this was, his moving out for awhile is a good thing, even if it is only for him to sort out his head. After a long term relationship falls apart, it takes time to sort out what happened, what was real, what wasn't .. and how to feel about all of it. Moving right in with someone doesn't allow this to happen, and in fact it might have harmed yoru own relationship by not allowing this process to finish.
Give it time. If you both want the relationship to work, it will. His moving out doesn't necessarily end anything, and in fact, might just help.

It appears that he is telling the truth and just wasnt ready for another relationship like he thought he was. For whatever reason he cant handle the pressure of being in a relationship and wants out so hes just trying to be as polite as he knows how. Grant him his space if you ever want things to work out between you two. Good luck

First off...as hard as it sounds...U need to cool it. It sounds upsetting. He may have just used you for a place to live but since you can't force other people into marriage or other things like love then perhaps its time to set your sails in another direction...good luck.
PS I am 36 M 5'10 and looking...been divorced and it sucks...so...

sound like hes going to try with his ex.again. talk to him and him what hes going to do if hes back with his ex. just tell you now where you can move on.good luck
