Ok here are 2 questions that i really need help with on my review....they both deal with centripetal force.

Can you plz show the work too! thankyou....

Problem 1
A dirtbiker rides over hills. If one hill had a radius of 2 meters, what is the minimum speed he must be travelling to feel motionless?


Problem 2
A ride spins ppl in a vertical circle. The radius of the ride is 3 meters and spins the ppl at a constant speed of 8 m/s.

(a) what is the NORMAL FORCE the ride exerts on a 70kg person at the TOP of the vertical loop.

(b) what is the NORMAL FORCE the ride exerts on a 70kg person at the BOTTOM of the vertical loop.

....please show me how to do it & THANKYOU sooooooooooo much for helping me!!!!!

ooopss! on problem 1...its NOT motionless but it is ...Weightless... sry..

mg = mv^2/2
v = √(2*9.80665) = 4.43 m/s

2.
W = mg = 70*9.80664 = 686.4655 N
F = mv^2/r = 70(8^2)/3 = 1493.3333 N
(a) F - W
806.9 N upward
(b) F + W
2,179.8 N downward
