I just got optimum online and had a few issues with it but got the connection going. The only problem i am having right now is that the Easylink Advisor that came with the router can not detect the router.
Its saying things like make sure its plugged into a outlet and turned on when those are pretty dumb and general questions which i am not that dumb to figure out to put it in an outlet so obviously i have both those suggestions locked down. Its really starting to irritate me cause optimum online isnt cheap and for all that money and the router i should expect it to work fine but it cant even detect my router.

Check and be sure your computer shows an ethernet connection also. I have fought a simple not really plugged in connector many times. If you are trying to do this from wireless (dont) use a cable to get it setup.

I have never needed the Advisor Program.. you can setup the router with just its web interface and avoid software issues.

Have you plugged in your enet port to the router while running the advisor? If so, call linksys
