I agree that they do try and serve "healthy" food, but then, I think that came about when people began to realize how unhealthy the food is. However, I still won't eat at the major chains, unless I literally have to. Even then, I'll only go to Burger King, since they at least have a veggie burger, even though they still serve it on white bread. Well, I can get some pacifiable options at Taco Bell, where I can get vegan options-- Beans instead of meat, and no cheese.
This only happens when I'm travelling and have no sandwhich fixing with me.
However, for daily fast food, I will go to Cosi, as they have several veg*n sandwhiches, as well as Panera.
With the exception of a few sit down restaurants, I just prefer to eat at home. Cheap and healthy.

Fast Food in general is unhealthy. I think Food was never meant to be 'fast'. I think Food was meant to be prepared by taking your time, with love. That's just my theory. So Fast Food goes against the natural order of things. It's abnormal. That's why it's so unhealthy.

It's all how you order. Even at the most unhealthy fast food place there is something you can order that is healthy. Most place have a grilled chicken option or salad with low fat dressing and no cheese.

It's not the restaraunts, or even the food that's unhealthy. It's lack of moderation that causes health problems.
Yes, very likely a diet consisting only of big hamburgers, fries and milk shakes is not a healthy one. But going out once in a while for this is not bad for you.
Even deep fried chicken is not bad for you as long as you don't make a pig of yourself, and exercise and eat well othewise.

not really.... they all have made efforts to serve every type of customer (fat, thin, someone working on losing weight, children)...etc etc..its really up to the customer and how much FAT they're willing to eat or purchase from a fast food restaurant.. :) As they say..if you don't stop yourself from getting fat..who will, right ? :)
I try to order as healthy or as semi healthy items as i can when i try to mix and match my meals . :)
Example: Ice tea and Filet O Fish and a Fruit and Walnut salad for desert :)
