wow, ok, the first 2 answers dont make sense. I know how a betta fish spreads its gills when mad...and why would you talk about feeding your own betta and how mine shouldnt be fat?..you havent seen my betta.

My question is, if my fish were bloated, how can i tell? is there a specific area of the body that it bloats or the whole thing should look obiese??

thanks again kids

The area right under it's gills will look big.

How a lot have you ever been feeding them? If there at the instant are no indicators of ailment (lethargy, white spots on physique, scales pointing outwards), that is probable constipation. Soak a frozen pea in heat water, eliminate the shell, shrink or smoosh the pea into tiny products, and feed some products on your fish. Then attempt fasting your betta for twenty-four-40 8 hours so his device can sparkling out.

Your fish's abdomin (stomach area) would look big and round, as if they ate too much. What do you feed it? If you feed it pellets or little ball type things don't feed it more than 3. If you feed it flakes, use only a pinch. It may not be overfeeding and could be an illness so observe your fish carefully.

when thy are bloated it will be the whole stomach(from the gills to where they poop from;sorry cant remember word) so I'm its a male just get him active like putting him an a community tank WITHOUT FIN NIPPERS(such as tetras and barbs)if its a female she could be pregnant if she is there will be a white dot under her tummy if not do the same as with a male

It depends on what is causing the bloating, but generally it's the entire stomach area of the fish that swells up.
