Not sure what species you're calling by that name. There's a native fish called a pirate perch (Aphredoderus sayanus gibbosus), but it's not a typical aquarium species. It's a US native found along the Mississippi River drainage and the eastern coastal plain. Some interesting biology though: http://www.wnrmag.com/stories/2004/apr04/perch.htm

Are you sure you don't mean a parrot fish? There's 3 different types: 1 is a New World cichlid, 1 is a hybrid cichlid and 1 is a saltwater fish.
