Think about it. Everyday while we do what we do, either work, or shopping, or watch TV, that same second there are100000 things all around us happening simultaneously, people dying, people getting married, people having evil plots, etc.

Ultimately, it's all a bit crazy.

So, how does one properly or at least attempt to live normal, under today's world circumstances?

This might sound like a bit of a silly question but, when you think about it, it's true. It's a crazy/hectic world.

Should we just be occupied 24/7, keep ourselves busy and not think about anything else but our own lives?

Or what?

Just wondering.

Here is our world.
Every day we get up, go to work or school, come home.

IF we include watching the news, reading about the news, or hearing the news; we have to conclude that the world has gone completely MAD.

This is not true. I am 55. When I was a kid, then teen, my parents were glued to the news every night. Watching the news, occasionally, with them, I concluded, back in the 1960's, that the world had indeed gone mad!!

Here it is 2007 and the world lives on...

Forget the news. Live your OWN life.

Personally, I don't think there is anything such as "normal". Every single one of us has odd things about us. When we try to fit into some mold that isn't even real, we stress ourselves for no real reason.
In some ways tv and movies have helped us (at least in recent years) to realize that people all have a few problems.
Early televison didn't do that for the most part and everyone thought they had to live the life of Ozzie and Harriet or Father Knows Best.
Now we have Desparate Housewives and Dr. Phil, etc and that all started probably with Archie Bunker.
Not sure how I got onto tv but that is just one of my many "problems" ha.

We should continue to ask questions that we can answer ourselves, so we can ultimately understand the world.

But we never will.

We can't focus on ourselves, for who will care for the generous people?

The best we can do is ask the world to stop the madness for a second, so we can collect our thoughts.

Or we can ask the world, "How do we live normally/sane, in a crazy/insane world?"

Rather than 'living sane', one must wipe all notions of sanity from the mind. True sanity is entirely subjective. The world is a very unpredictable place, and you need to be somewhat insane to cope with it all.

If you're not entirely sane, dealing with the insanity is pretty simple - you just make the rules up as you go along.

However, for sane people, dealing with the insanity of the world will drive them crazy.

I think things are what they are. It doesn't matter what you do. It doesn't matter if you stay sane or not. You could lose it, but what difference would it make?
Thats the real question : does the world change because of us?
Does our perception change reality?
As I see it, reality's a humongous, complex thing. Its actually infinite, ultimately. And we have the privilege to enjoy it to the extreme.
Now, our being , the way we carry ourselves, strengthen ourselves, changes our perception of reality.
But reality in itself doesn't change. I say move on, have fun and rebel.
F**k the rest.

The answer is simple.

Just life a positive life with those you come in contact with. The world is big enough that others like you are doing the same thing with those they come in contact with. When you are touching one life for good to just one person. It is as if the whole world through you is reaching out to help that one person.

~~~ I agree with David......forget the news and live your own life. I can't read a newspaper or watch the news on TV anymore myself. It makes me too sad and scared, so I stopped. I still know the world is insane but I don't have to constantly hear about it. Ignorance really is bliss.~~~
The only way to be sane in an insane world, is to be crazy, in our normal world.
So just make everything more insane, beacause in your world that is the norm.
