He has proven that he is not trustworthy enough to make his own decisions, so I guess the league has to babysit. He doesn't have to do it. He could ignore it and go out to the strip clubs and get into more trouble. I hope while he's there, he finds out if they are looking for help taking out the garbage or cleaning up after the girls he covets so much.
If he would have grown up during his adolescent years, he wouldn't have to worry about this now. I wonder what his parents were doing while he was growing up?

Only a couple of you have seemed to have gotten this right. Neither the Titans or the NFL have imposed a curfew on Pacman. He was the one that told Goodell that he'd impose one on himself most likely in good faith that he will reform to reenter the NFL. I believe he did it to show that he can enforce himself. Well apparently one speeding traffic ticket later after midnight, and I am sure that any trust possibly gained has been lost.
The man is a screw up, and a black eye waiting to happen to the NFL. He does need to be suspended for the year, and if he continues to behave in a manner that harms the NFL's image he needs to be banned from the game. Simple as that.

Discipline guidelines are clearly set out for all NFL athletes in the specific organization they're a part of. The players always receive guidelines, such as a Code of Conduct, at the beginning of each season. Athlete representatives are involved in its preparation as well. The Tennesse Titans impose curfews on all players via this Code of Conduct and Pacman Jones is no exception.

No one twisted his arm to play in the NFL,and I'm sure many workers wouldn't mind being on curfew if they would make the amount of money this jerk is making, after what this bonehead has done in the last year, many bosses would have fired anybody working for them, the curfew was inposed on himself to try and deceived the NFL,it just happen to backfire on him and now he's in deeper $hit than before

Well, he gave himself a 12 pm curfew a few weeks ago when he was suspended.
and just recently he was pulled over in memphis at almost 1 am and was driving on a suspended liscense.
So....he's just making it worse for himself.

The guy is lucky he is still even in the league.......he is an embarrassment to the league. The sad part is somewhere there is a kid that wants to be just like him.......I applaud the commissioner for what he's doing.......get rid of the bad apples and bring respect back to the league

I think that it was because most of what he was being suspended for happened after midnight. The only thing is that there had been nothing in NFL jurisprudence for setting this precedence.

Playing in the NFL is a privelage and the NFL can impose strict rules on their players if they want to.
