Question from France... was just wondering what you guys think about a pro-american, anti-immigrant French president? By the way, for those who don't know, that's who Sarcozy is.

Bonjour monsieur, Oui I have no problem with Sarcozy replacing Chirac. His views seems more in accord with many over here particularly on immigration, where not as extremist as Le Penn, and it is also good for Europe and USA to have stronger linkage on the "united we stand divided we fall" principle.

Well, I'm in the US, not UK, but I find the change encouraging. I don't think he's really anti-immigrant, he is anti-crime. He probably wants to maintain some French identity and culture too.

We have to work with these guys because of the EU but to think that we just lost our pro US PM just to get another EU member sucking up to them is too much for me. I'm off to Cuba.

Also these anti immigrant types are all the same. His family were immigrant Jews in the first place.

Sorry France, I think you've been sold un Limon.
Not good news for anyone- France has been something of a voice of reason in the last few years- looks like that's all over.
