u should read ur instructions more often u have to press another key while pressin the x on the 5th have no idea which key it will be havent had a scientific calculator since i was at school which was 13 yrs ago. god now i am showin my age

There shoud be a key marked with the 'Y to the x' symbol on it (sort of like below, ignore the ....)

Throw out what you have (unless its a TI-85[or higher])
