You said that you are thinking about renting the property, the Landlord does have the right to remove the pool if he feels that it is a liability. The pool is an amenity, but it is not required. To my knowledge there really is no way that you can take the liability off of him. The insurance alone that he has to pay to have the pool is not going to change if you take responsibility, ultimately if something happens he can be held liable he owns the property. It's your choice sweetie, you don't have to rent if you don't want to.

You rented the property with a pool. The landlord can't take it down without replacing it. if he does, you can break your lease as he has modified the property to something less than what you had agreed to.

Depends on your contract. Does it say that he can't remove it? If it don't say that then he can remove it. If you want to buy your own pool, you have to ask the landlord first. If he agrees to let you buy one, then you are 100% liable if something happens. Thats probably why he wants to remove it. He don't want to be liable if anything happens.
